Dative Case

The indirect object (always the person to whom something happens or is given: she gave me her address).

Also used after four prepositions:

  • dzięki (thanks to)
  • wbrew (contrary to, against)
  • ku (to, toward)
  • przeciw/ko (against)

  1. Dear Sam and Biluś,
Thanks for all your work on this site. I often confuse all the similar sibilants in Polish. I wondered if you might shed an enlightening post on this topic.

  2. Dear Anna, we'll do our best :) Please be patient as it might take a few more days, but we are already working on it... hopefully, it will help, as this is one of the toughest things to figure out in Polish and we all have problems with it :)
    Bests,
    Sam

  3. Hey guys, love the site and all the help. But, your Male and N. forms of Dative are incorrect;

    Masc. Adj.: -emu
    Masc. Noun: -owi , -u
    N. Adj.: -emu
    N. Noun: -u

    Plural for all:
    Adj: -ym
    Noun: -om

    -Chilly
